Social Democrats in the conflict with Iran
Jämtin prominent in Current was milder than one would expect. The routine criticism of Israel was on site but otherwise normal for her glödet and baiting. Jämtin also expressed sympathy for Israeli victims of war and confirmed in subsequent chat that she supports the UN Resolution 1559 requiring the disarming of the terrorist group Hezbollah.
Jämtin relative gentleness does not mean that she changed foot in the Israeli issue. The strategy is well thought out and because the Socialists focused heavily on relations with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States that are directly threatened by Iran's imperialist offensive. In November last year, Sweden initiated extensive military cooperation with Saudi Arabia and July 13, 2006 government invested 3.5 million in investment and export promotion efforts in the Gulf countries.
The Israeli war against Hezbollah (read Iran) takes Gulf quietly Israel. Iranian Islamic and heavily armed states in the States a al Hezbollah is a true horror scenario for them and they are also ready to support Israel to stop Iran's progress.
It was especially embarrassing for Jämtin to seven Social Democratic parliamentary candidates took yesterday in fact Iran in the conflict. She was forced to take tydigt away from their "impractical" party comrades.
There will come a major challenge to social democratic foreign policy: but the balance between the deep-rooted among anti-Israel left-liberalism and practical needs not to harm the Arab countries' interests, they must also hide the conflict of interest with the Left as Städje the Iranian superpower adventure.
